Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies that lucky-vibe-australia.com places on your device, what each category is used for, how long it stays there, and how to remove or block them in the browser you are reading this on. It covers this website only. Any cookie set by an external site you visit after leaving here is governed by that site’s own policy.

What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It holds a short piece of data, usually a random identifier and an expiry date, and the browser sends it back the next time you request a page from the same domain. That is the whole mechanism. A cookie cannot execute code, read other files on your device, access your camera or microphone, or see anything you do on unrelated websites.
A couple of distinctions matter here. A session cookie exists only until you close the browser and disappears on its own, while a persistent cookie carries an expiry date and survives until that date or until you delete it. A first-party cookie is set by the domain you are on, while a third-party cookie is set by another domain whose code the page loads, such as an analytics or content delivery provider.
Modern sites also use related storage that is not technically a cookie, including localStorage and sessionStorage. We treat those the same way in this policy, because from your point of view the effect is identical: something is kept on your device between page loads.
What we use cookies for
This site has no login, no shopping basket and no member area, so the range of cookies is narrow. We use them to keep the site working correctly, to protect it from automated abuse, to measure which pages people actually read, and to remember a small number of display preferences so the site behaves consistently when you return.
We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile, we do not run behavioural ad networks on this site, and we do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers. The broader picture of what information we hold and why sits in our explanation of how personal information is collected and stored.
Cookie categories used on this site
| Category | Purpose | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core site delivery: routing requests to the correct server, load balancing, maintaining a consistent page state during your visit, and remembering that you have dismissed a notice so it does not reappear on every page. | Session to 12 months |
| Security and bot filtering | Set by our content delivery and firewall layer to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic, apply rate limits and block attack patterns. Removing these may trigger repeated verification checks. | 30 minutes to 12 months |
| Analytics and performance | Anonymous measurement of page views, entry and exit pages, referral source, device type, load times and script errors. Used in aggregate to decide what to write next and to catch broken layouts. | 24 hours to 24 months |
| Preferences | Remembering display choices such as a light or dark theme, a chosen text size, or whether an expandable section was left open. | 1 to 12 months |
Strictly necessary and security cookies are required for the site to function and to stay online. The analytics and preference categories are optional, and blocking them costs you nothing beyond having to reset a display choice on each visit.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies come from services we rely on rather than from our own code.
- Content delivery and security provider. Sets identifiers used to verify that a request comes from a browser rather than a script, and to route traffic to the nearest edge server.
- Analytics provider. Sets an anonymous visitor identifier so that a person returning next week is not counted as a new reader. Where the tool supports IP truncation, we have it switched on.
- Embedded media. If a page embeds a video or a map, the provider of that content may set its own cookies when the element loads. We keep embeds to a minimum for exactly this reason.
We do not control how those providers operate their own cookies, and their terms apply alongside ours. The same principle applies to any external link you follow from here, including the casino operator’s website, which sets its own cookies and tracking the moment you arrive. That boundary is described further in the rules covering how this website may be used.
How to manage cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block them by category and clear them automatically when you close the window. Blocking cookies on this site does not lock you out of any content.
Google Chrome
Open the three-dot menu, choose Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies to control third-party behaviour. For site-specific control, choose Settings, Privacy and security, Site settings, then View permissions and data stored across sites, find the entry for this domain and delete it. To clear everything, use Delete browsing data and tick Cookies and other site data. On Android the path is nearly identical inside the Chrome app settings.
Apple Safari
On macOS, open Safari, then Settings, then Privacy. Tick Prevent cross-site tracking to block third-party tracking cookies, and use Manage Website Data to search for this domain and remove its data. On iPhone and iPad, open the Settings app, scroll to Safari, and use Block All Cookies or Clear History and Website Data. Safari blocks most third-party cookies by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention, so you may find little there to remove.
Mozilla Firefox
Open the menu, choose Settings, then Privacy and Security. Enhanced Tracking Protection offers Standard, Strict and Custom modes, and Custom lets you block cookies by type. Under Cookies and Site Data, use Manage Data to search for this domain and remove it, or tick Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed to clear everything automatically at the end of each session.
Microsoft Edge
Open the three-dot menu, choose Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. From there you can block third-party cookies, see all stored data, and remove entries for individual sites. Tracking prevention has Basic, Balanced and Strict levels under Settings, Privacy, search, and services.
Private browsing and blocking tools
Private or incognito windows discard cookies when the window closes, which is a quick way to read the site without leaving anything behind. Browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger block many tracking scripts before they can set a cookie at all, and we do not penalise or detect their use.
What happens if you block cookies
Blocking analytics and preference cookies has almost no visible effect. Pages load normally, all content stays readable, and the only difference is that display choices reset each visit and your reading is not counted in our aggregate statistics.
Blocking strictly necessary and security cookies is a different matter. Our security layer may treat a browser sending no cookies at all as suspicious, which can produce repeated verification prompts, slower page loads or an occasional block. If the site starts behaving strangely after you tighten your browser settings, this is almost always the cause, and allowing first-party cookies for this domain resolves it.
Do Not Track and global privacy signals
The Do Not Track header has never been widely honoured across the web and is not a reliable control. We do respect the Global Privacy Control signal where the browser sends it, and we do not run the kind of cross-site advertising that most privacy signals are designed to stop in the first place.
Updates to this policy
We revise this page whenever we add, remove or change a tool that sets cookies. The date at the head of the page shows which version you are reading, and anything material gets a note there for at least 30 days. Questions about a specific cookie, or a request to know exactly what a given identifier does, can be sent through our reader enquiry page and we will answer with the detail we hold.
If you are new to the site, the practical material this policy supports begins with our detailed look at Lucky Vibe from an Australian perspective.
